MIDI Song Process Documentation

For the second project, I decided to use Noteflight. I could have used soundtrap to input the notes, but I decided I was more comfortable with Noteflight, as it is a program that I have used in the past for my own compositions. I took an existing composition that I had already started, and added more to it. I was inspired by Ravel’s String Quartet in F, and tried to capture a similar feel for the first part of the piece.

For the second part, I put in a key change, then changed the texture to have a single melody line which alternated between violin and viola, with the rest of the quartet accompanying. I was happy with the composition, but the basic sounds on Noteflight are not of the highest quality, and putting it onto soundcloud certainly did not help.
